Experiences · Ways to see Oman

Choose how you want to spend your days in Oman.

Some people come to hike canyons, some to drive their own route and sleep on the roof of a 4x4, some to play golf by the sea. Start with how you like to travel. We'll help you choose where to go after that.

Adventure Oman

Swim through canyons, walk the Balcony Walk, ride over the dunes or float above them at sunrise. The mountains, wadis and desert are close together, so one trip can include all three, with local guides who know the routes well.

Golf in Oman

Oman has only five courses, and each one plays differently: a championship links course by the sea, one of the Gulf's oldest desert clubs, and a course you can play at night under floodlights. We'll book the tee times and plan the rest of the trip around them.

Mix & match

You can combine them in one trip.

Most of our trips use more than one of these. Here are three combinations travellers often ask for.
  • Self-Drive + Adventure

Drive yourself, with a guide for the hard parts

Take a rooftop-tent 4x4 for the week and book a guide for a day of canyoning or a mountain trek.

Good for: couples and friends who like to camp
  • Golf + Destinations

Mornings on the course, afternoons in the old towns

Play a round or two near Muscat, then spend the rest of the trip at Nizwa's fort and souq and up on Jabal Akhdar.

Good for: groups where some people play golf and some don't
  • Adventure + Wahiba Sands

From the wadis to the dunes

Swim in a wadi in the morning and arrive at a desert camp in Wahiba Sands for sunset, all with the same guide.

Good for: families and first-time visitors
